Well, I dreamt about being in a Bike Race, and not doing very well, and about work, with the usual things going south, and didn't make much effort to remember them, both were so disjointed. Which is usual. If I feel hungry, I might dream of food. And with that in mind, I can work back from something in a dream to the feeling it has, and from that reach some clue of what the dream might be about!
As I go to sleep, it's like a pass through disjointed scenes, and returning to being awake, I go through these again, but now they are dreams, rather than just sort of dim thoughts and imaginings. Like, I can count sheep, and almost see them, going to sleep, but returning, I really see sheep clearly, well, as clearly as dreaming can be! How did Caliban put it?...brb...
quote
Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises,
Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears; and sometime voices
That, if I then had waked after long sleep,
Will make me sleep again; and then in dreaming,
The clouds methought would open, and show riches
Ready to drop upon me, that when I waked
I cried to dream again.
